Use of Certification Mark

RIC’s Certification Mark signifies that an organisation has been assessed by RIC and found to conform to the requirements of the relevant standard. The mark represents the integrity of RIC’s certification process and may be used to communicate the certified status of the organisation within the scope of certification granted.

Authorised Use of RIC Certification Marks

• The RIC Certification Mark may be used by clients who have been awarded a valid certificate by RIC.

• The mark may be displayed on corporate materials such as websites, brochures, email signatures, stationery, business cards, and other communication platforms, provided that its use clearly refers to the certified organisation and the certified scope.

• Clients must ensure that the mark is not used in a manner that misrepresents the scope or extent of certification.

Design and Elements of the Certification Mark

• The RIC Certification Mark consists of the RIC logo, a reference to the relevant standard, and the certificate number issued to the certified organisation.

• The reference to the standard is positioned next to the RIC logo. Where multiple numbering conventions exist (e.g., ISO/SS adoptions), only the applicable standard number shall be used.

• If certification applies only to a specific portion of an organisation’s activities, product category, or operational site, this limitation must be stated below the mark (e.g., “applicable to vegetables only”).

• Clients are required to reproduce the mark precisely according to the format provided by RIC and must not alter, distort, or combine the mark with other logos in a misleading manner.

Restrictions on Use

• The RIC Certification Mark must not be used in a way that implies product certification, unless the certification granted explicitly relates to a product scheme with a valid Certificate of Conformity (CoC).

• In cases where the certification pertains to a product scheme, licensees may apply their license number on the certified product, its packaging, and/or relevant cartons in accordance with the valid CoC issued by RIC.

Scope & Validity

• The Certification Mark may only be used while the certification remains valid.

• Upon suspension, withdrawal, expiry, or reduction of scope, clients must immediately adjust or discontinue the use of the mark to reflect the revised certification status.

Misuse & Enforcement

• Any misuse or misleading application of the mark — including implying certification beyond the granted scope, certifying unaudited products, or altering the mark — may result in corrective action, suspension, or withdrawal of certification.

• RIC reserves the right to take necessary action to protect the integrity of certification, including public notification of revoked or invalid certificates if required.
